Build a Sustainable Wardrobe
A week long schedule of events at St. Collins Lane brought to you by local labels A.BCH, Lois Hazel, Lott Studio, Scott Benedictine & Vincent Li for Curated Melbourne! Monday 29th May - Sunday 1st June, 2017
It’s not every day that fashion labels choose to work together. With many closed doors in the world of fashion, these designers are flinging them wide open for the greater good.
Sustainable fashion is a hot topic. Right now, forums around the world are discussing how we, as consumers and creators, can head in a better, more sustainable and ethical direction. However, many of those consumers are left wondering, “where do I even begin?”.
The Council of Textile & Fashion launched Curated Melbourne in March 2017, bringing Australia’s premier emerging labels into one space to meet, connect and provide a shopping experience for those who want to be at the forefront of new discoveries.
As part of the Curated Melbourne programme, these labels have teamed up to share iconic retail spaces accross the city creating an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional retail.
From the 29th of May, local labels A.BCH, Lois Hazel, Lott Studio, Scott Benedictine and Vincent Li are joining forces to create a week long schedule of events that address the pertinent issue of building a sustainable wardrobe, both for the newbie and the seasoned fashion lover.
With a series of workshops, discussions, fittings and films, with support from Everyday Coffee and Four Pillars Gin, this team of designers want to help show you what you need to know and where to find labels that align with your values. Click through each event to discover more or to register for any part of the programme.
